SyncMate - Configure your Mac

To get the most from SyncMate options it is highly recommended to configure all the available SyncMate settings for your Mac:

Incoming connections

This feature gives you the ability to allow incoming connections to your Mac. Thus other instances of SyncMate installed on other Macs will be able to sync with your Mac:

1. TCP port which listens to incoming connections on your Mac is set automatically by SyncMate. If you want to change the port, be sure you change it as well on other Macs you want to sync your Mac with.

2. Optionally enable password protection using the corresponding checkbox.

3. Besides you are able to allow incoming connections from all hosts, confirm or deny incoming connections on other hosts' request, or allow connections from hosts which you specified using the corresponding list:

Note, that if you select "Ask me before establishing connection" option, the following window will popup, when there is an incoming request from another Mac:

Choose one of the available actions: "Yes", "Yes, and add to allowed IPs", "No".

Connection settings

This plugin enables you to change connection properties, such as your Mac icon and name, depending on the connection's type.

Activity log

This feature informs you about all actions, which were made during working time with SyncMate. It's very helpful in case if some errors occurred during synchronization or if you want to view actions history.
