Application as Service - How to connect to remote PC and manage services?

Starting from version 3.0 Eltima Application as Service proudly introduces new great feature which gives an ability to manage services (create, start, stop, edit, delete) not only locally but on remote computers as well. Easily connect to remote PC via LAN or Internet and manage all remote services like your own.

You are able to connect to remote PC using different ways, depending on what actions you need. For example, if you want to create new system service or run application as service on remote computer, please click "Create on ..." button using Toolbar.

If you are going to start, stop, edit, delete remote services we recommend you to use "Add computer" button on Toolbar (the second way to manage remote services is to click corresponding Toolbar buttons: "Start on ...", "Stop on ..." "Edit on ...", etc)



1. Click "Add computer" button on Toolbar and "Connect to ..." dialog will be invoked:

 

2. Now, please, click "New connection" button (or select the required computer from the list)
3. Write in name or IP of required computer. Enter password, if it is used in "Local settings" on the remote PC. Tick the corresponding checkboxes if you want to enable traffic encryption (recommended for security reason, all sent data will be encrypted, although it slows down the communication speed) and configure proxy (if any).

 

4. Finally click "Add connection" button and the result of successful connection to remote PC will be adding of new tab with all remote services in "Services list" window:

 
5. Now, you are able to manage all the services remotely using Toolbar buttons.
