Hide My Folders - Hide List

Hide List contains a list of all pending or already hidden files/folders and masks as well as their status (hidden/not hidden).

Adding to Hide List

In order to add items into Hide List do one of the following steps:

  • Drag-and-drop files or folders from Explorer or File and Folders Panels. Please, note that drag-and-dropping any folder will not automatically include all subfolders inside it. To add folders including subfolders select "Files"->"Add folders (with files)" menu option or click "Add items" toolbar button and select "Add folders (with files)".

  • Select File -> "Add items" menu option and choose one of the next items:

    • Add selected (default)

    • Add folders (with files)

    • Add mask

  • Select File -> "Add predefined" menu option and choose one of the next items:

    • My Documents

    • Cookies

    • Desktop content

    • Windows Favorites

    • Start menu

  • Click "Add items" button in Toolbar and select one of the next options:

    • Add selected (default)

    • Add folders (with files)

    • Add mask

  • Click "Add predefined" button in Toolbar and select one of the next options:

    • My Documents

    • Cookies

    • Desktop content

    • Windows Favorites

    • Start menu

  • Type in "Add quick mask" textbox at Toolbar if you would like to add a mask

  • If "Explorer's context menu" option is enabled the right-click anywhere in Windows Explorer and select "Hide with Hide My Folders"

Once any file/folder/mask is added to Hide List, it automatically becomes hidden.

Please, note that you cannot add files/folders that are critical to system (Windows folder, Hide My Folder etc.)

Advanced operations

Hide List allows sorting by name or by status (click corresponding column header) and editing hidden items (double-click, press "Enter" button or select from context menu)

To select all items in Hide List press "Ctrl" + "A".

Removing from Hide List

In order to remove item/items from Task List Panel do one of the next steps:

  • Select File -> "Clear List" menu item

  • Click "Clear List" button in Toolbar

  • Right-click item you want to remove and select "Delete" or "Clear List" option from pop-up menu

Right-click any item within Hide List allows changing its status.
