Powered Keylogger - Frequently Asked Question

1. Hello, I have an older version of Powered Keylogger, how can I upgrade it?
To upgrade existing copy of Powered Keylogger you need to download the latest release available. Then make a clean reinstallation of the software. Uninstall the version you have and install the new one. Contact us in case your older registration info is not accepted.

2. Is Powered Keylogger legal?
Yes sure, Powered Keylogger is absolutely legal. You are able to install whatever programs you want on your computer. Powered Keylogger is designed to enhance Internet security and safety by giving you the tools you need to find out everything that happens on your computer. There are a lot of references in the Internet that can give you the definite answer. However, you should note that even legal software can be used illegally. So be careful.

3. Can my secret word be blank?
You may leave this field blank, however, it will work when installing in visible mode only. If you select to install in invisible mode and erase secret word field during installation your unhide combination will be set to 'secretword' by default. It is done intentionally, since there's no other way to unhide Powered Keylogger installed in invisible mode without this secret word.

4. I forgot my secret word, how can I retrieve it?
It's rather a serious problem actually, but we have a system on recovering your secret word (for registered users only). Please, write to support@eltima.com for details.

5. I went to look through the logs, but they all are empty, what am I doing wrong?
First, check that keylogger's engine is enabled (Options -> Start/Stop recording), then check that you enabled logs you want to be recorded. The dates that you have logs for will be shown in bold font in Calendar, so there's no need to click around searching for log entries.

6. I got BSOD (blue screen of death), what should I do?
First, you don't have to panic. If this BSOD was anyhow caused by Powered Keylogger it will not lead to any serious circumstances. If you can reproduce the BSOD, please, supply the following information to our support team:

If your PC is rebooting itself automatically after BSOD, first go to "My Computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery -> Settings" and uncheck the "Automatically restart" checkbox.
