You may use Shared Serial Ports to integrate our technology into your own
programs. To do this you should obtain Shared Serial Ports [OEM license],
register it and then utilize all the benefits of our technology directly from
your software.
Attention! This method
is applicable for OEM version only. You don't need to do this with standard
single-licensed or demo Shared Serial Ports package.
The following files should be copied to the target machine's temporary installation directory. Important notice: shared serial ports drivers for 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems are located in "Drv\Nt5" and "Drv\Nt5x64" subfolders correspondingly.
| File | Description |
| sershare.sys | virtual serial ports driver |
| sershare.inf | INF file for correct virtual serial ports installation |
| sharedbus.sys | Shared serial ports bus driver |
| sharedbus.inf | .INF file for correct shared serial ports bus installation |
| sershare_setup.exe | EXE file which is needed for installation/un-installation of virtual serial ports |
After all these files are copied to target machine (Note: they must be copied into the same directory), your installation program should execute "sershare_setup.exe" without any parameters. This will register Shared Serial Ports' driver set in the system and load it.
If you plan to provide end-customer with uninstall option, you should keep "sershare_setup.exe" on target system. As soon as un-installation is required, you should execute "sershare_setup.exe /u". This will safely remove virtual serial bus from target system. System reboot is required to finalize uninstallation process.
