SWF & FLV Toolbox - Animated image

This option allows frame-by-frame conversion of the assigned SWF/FLV/EXE files into a single animated GIF file which could be used as an alternative to Flash animation. You may adjust image quality (palettes), dithering and frames per second options that directly effect on resulting GIF size.

Palettes option defines the number of colors in palette used for representing all available colors in image. Apparently, the higher number of colors in palette the better image quality and, therefore, larger image file in a turn.

Dithering is a process of reducing the number of colors in palette and interpolating color transition from available colors which may produce blurring effect. Selecting "Low" option will result in the best output image quality and on contrary, selecting "Max" option will result in the worst.

"FPS" defines the number of frames per second. Selecting higher value will not result image quality improvement, it will result increasing of resulting file size only.

"Endless loop" option defines whether animation should be continuous or not.

"Single palette for all frames", "Remove transparent areas" and "Merge layers" options are useful for reducing animated image file.

Note, that you should understand animated gif file - is bitmapped format, the size of resulting file depends on image size (width, height) and number of frames per second (FPS), so the size of resulting animated gif file usually much bigger than the size of starting SWF.
