SWF & FLV Toolbox - Screensaver

Screensaver option allows you to convert any SWF/FLV/Projector EXE file into an eye-catching screensaver which you may configure later using the standard Windows "Display Properties" dialog (right-click the empty space anywhere on your desktop and select "Properties" menu option). SWF & FLV Toolbox offers additional options to personify your screensavers option by adding your own screensaver title, add the desired e-mail address and homepage URL buttons, etc.

Please, note that "Screensaver preferences top image" should be of .BMP file type and has 315x71 pixels dimension.

Below you will find the instructions on how you may create and set up screensaver from SWF/FLV/EXE file:

  • Add the required SWF/FLV file by dragging it from Explorer into Task List panel
  • Select it by ticking corresponding checkbox in front of SWF/FLV file name
  • Specify the resulting screensavers name
  • Please, note that if this name is longer than 8 characters it will be truncated to just 8. Otherwise screensaver's name in "Display Properties" dialog will be equal to the filename, no matter whether you have specified "Screensaver title" value or not.
  • Select the "Screensaver" tab in "Configuration options" section
  • Customize the resulting screensavers options by supplying screensavers title (which will be shown as the name of the screensaver in Windows "Display Properties" dialog), enabling and providing homepage URL link, e-mail address (shown as "1" and "2" circles at the image below) which will be shown in "Configure SWF Screen Saver" dialog, and supplying screensaver preferences top image (displayed in Windows "Display Properties" dialog).

Please, note if you have the unregistered version of SWF & FLV Toolbox (e.g. you are on a free trial) then "Screensaver title", "Screensaver preferences top image" and screenshot looping options (displayed in Windows "Display Properties" -> "Settings" dialog) cannot be changed.

  • Apply this options to SWF file by pressing "Add Action" button at the lower right corner of SWF & FLV Toolbox Main Window
  • Select this SWF file in Task List and tick the checkbox in front of it
  • Click "Process all tasks" Toolbar button
  • On successful conversion please click "View results" link to access the resulting file

  • Right-click it and select "Install" option from the context menu to install your screensaver into the system
  • Finally, select it in Windows "Display Properties" dialog and apply the changes
