SyncMate - Synchronization with devices based on Windows Mobile platform

SyncMate allows you to synchronize Safari and Firefox bookmarks, Address Book, Stickies, iCal, iTunes, iPhoto, To Dos, Mail and others between Windows Mobile Smartphone or Pocket PC Edition and your Mac (via USB cable, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth).

With SyncMate you are able to view photos, send favorite music or video clips to your Mac, send, receive, read and manage your messages, get your device status, install applications to your Mobile device, examine actions operation log, synchronize time, etc. Manage all your information on the big screen of your Mac with the help of SyncMate.

How to establish connection via USB cable

1. Click "Add connection" button , which is located in the upper right corner of the main screen, and "Device connection Wizard" will be invoked:

2. Select "Windows Mobile Device (USB)" connection in "Device connection Wizard" and click "Continue" button.

3. Please, plug in your Windows Mobile device to USB port, wait a bit, and click "Continue" button:


If connection doesn't start after a while, please, refer to our Knowledge Base for a possible solution.

4. Set the "Connection name" of Windows Mobile device and select devices' icon if you wish. The icon will be displayed in "Devices list" area.

5. Click "Finish" button. If connection was successful, you will see your Mobile device in "Devices list" area.

How to establish connection via Wi-Fi

1. Click "Add connection" button , which is located in the upper right corner of the main screen, and "Device connection Wizard" will be invoked:

2. Select "Windows Mobile Device (Wi-Fi)" connection in "Device connection Wizard" and click "Continue" button.

3. Please, enter your device IP-address and click "Continue" button. (If you don't know your device IP-address, look below in this section for instructions).

4. Set the "Connection name" of Windows Mobile device and select devices' icon if you wish. The icon will be displayed in "Devices list" area. Note: If you don't know your device name, look below in this section for instructions.

5. Click "Finish" button. If connection was successful, you will see your Mobile device in "Devices list" area.


Note, you are able to view your device IP address and device name by clicking "Show my IP/Name" button at SyncMate driver GUI on your Mobile device:

  • Additionally, "Show my IP/Name" button permits to reregister your Windows Mobile device in network. This method concerns devices which automatically turn off Wi-Fi to save power.
  • SyncMate driver on Windows Mobile device is in "Only from list" state by default. So, when the connection from Mac to Windows Mobile device is initialized, message "Allow connect from IP XX.XX.XX.XX ?" on Windows Mobile device will pop-up. Click "Ok". Otherwise, the incoming connection will be refused.
  • If you have some problems with connection via Wi-Fi, please, refer to this section for instructions.

How to establish connection via Bluetooth

1. Click "Add connection" button , which is located in the upper right corner of the main screen, and "Device connection Wizard" will be invoked.

2. Select "Windows Mobile Device (BT)" connection and click "Continue" button:

Note: Your Mobile device should be paired with Mac. Visit our Knowledge Base to find out how to do it.

3. Click "Find" button to select your Mobile device. If SyncMate driver is not installed on your Mobile device, you may send driver via Bluetooth clicking the corresponding button.



4. Launch SyncMate driver on your Mobile device. Tick "Bluetooth" checkbox.

5. Go to your Mac Bluetooth settings. Select your Mobile device and choose "Connect to Network" option:



6. In "Device connection Wizard" window set the "Connection name" of Windows Mobile device and select devices' icon if you wish. The icon will be displayed in "Devices list" area.

7. Click "Finish" button. If connection was successful, you will see your Mobile device in "Devices list" area.
