USB to Ethernet Connector - Share local USB port

In order to access USB device resources from the remote host, firstly it should be shared. This process resembles sharing your hard disk resources between other users on the network. However, unlike file sharing, you won't be able access USB device once the client is connected to it.

To share USB device, please, follow the steps:

Switch to "Share local USB devices" tab on application's Toolbar.

Select USB device you want to share in USB devices tree .

Click "Share local USB device" Toolbar button or select "Share devices" -> "Share local USB devices" option from the Main menu .

Customize some additional settings like custom TCP port, which will be used in connection, encryption and authorization. Besides you are able to view additional info about device (Vendor, Manufacturer, Product, Serial number, etc) here. By enabling password authorization, you can use password to secure your connection, but note, that client should write in the same password in order to establish connection. Moreover you can enable traffic encryption. It is recommended for security reason, all sent data will be encrypted, although it slows down the communication speed.

Click "Share device" button to share selected device. Once the device is successfully shared, the icon in USB devices tree will be changed to . Please, note that you may share USB port which doesn't have any devices attached.

Please, note if you are unable to share the device, try unplugging the device, sharing the port where that device was present, and plugging it in again.
