Use Movie Controls in SWF & FLV Player for Windows

Movie Controls panel contains the following buttons and sliders:

  • Open previous playlist item
  • Back
  • Play
  • Stop
  • Forward
  • Open next playlist item
  • Make screenshot of the current frame
  • Start converting into image series
  • Volume control
  • Zoom control
  • Restore the original size (1:1)
  • Fit to current window
  • Switch to dragging mode

Let’s review all of them:

Open previous playlist item

This button allows opening Flash movie that was played earlier. If there is only one item in the Playlist, it will be played again only if “Repeat” option is on.

This option is fully identical to the one of “Movie” menu item.

- Back

This button moves a SWF movie to the previous frame. This option is fully identical to the one of “Movie” menu item.

Note: FLV file will be moved five seconds back, if “Back” option is applied.

Play

Click this button to start playing the opened Flash file. Once the movie started playing, “Play” button will change to “Pause”

This option is fully identical to the one of “Movie” menu item.

Stop

This button stops Flash file playback. This option is fully identical to the one of “Movie” menu item.

Forward

This button moves a SWF movie to the next frame.

Note: FLV file will be moved five seconds forward, if “Forward” option is applied.

Open next playlist item

Use this button to start playing the next playlist item. If there is only one item in the Playlist, it will be played again only if “Repeat” option is on.

This option is fully identical to the one of “Movie” menu item.

– This button makes screenshot of the current frame

– This button starts converting movie into image series

- Volume control 

Volume slider allows adjusting sound level. SWF & FLV Player changes the system volume. Once you quit SWF & FLV Player, your computer’s volume settings will be restored.

Zoom control

Use this slider to zoom in/out the movie displayed in Movie viewer.

Tip: if you want to quickly resize back to the original movie window size, please, click “Fit to current window” button (described below) or select “Movie” from Main menu and choose “Restore the original size” option.

1. Restore the original size (1:1)

Use this button to restore the original size of the movie. This option is fully identical to the one of “Movie” menu item.

2. Fit to current window

Fit button resizes the Flash movie to fit the current Movie viewer size. This option is fully identical to the one of “Movie” menu item.

3. Switch to dragging mode

Click this button to enable dragging. Left-click anywhere inside Movie viewer and, while holding mouse button, move your mouse cursor to drag the movie.

Note, movie interactive objects will not be active during dragging.

If you want to use interactive controls (buttons, URL links, etc.) that your SWF file provides, first, switch to dragging mode, drag the movie to the required window part, turn off dragging and click the control you need.


Notes:

1. To hide movie controls select “Hide controls” option in Main menu –> Window.

2. The played movie supports context menu options. Right-click anywhere inside the Viewer to activate context menu and select from the following items:
