Serial Port Terminal - How to send ASCII file?

Advanced Serial Port Terminal allows you to send any text file to remote computer or device over serial port connection. However, remote host will be responsible for receiving of this file.

To send ASCII file over serial port connection do the following:

  1. Select "File" -> "New session" from the Main Menu to open "New session" dialog
  2. Select necessary connection settings to match the ones of remote COM port
  3. Click "Open" button
  4. Select "File" -> "Open port" or click corresponding Toolbar button in order to open local serial port if it is not already opened

  5. Click "Send ASCII file" Toolbar button

  6. "Open file" dialog will appear where you may select TXT file to send.

  7. New "Transferring" pop-up window will appear, indicating the transfer progress
